Hi,
I have an asp page that create an xls file on my web server (Windows Server 2003 32 bit) and it works properly.
I tried to use this page from another web server (Windows server 2003 64bit) but it does not work.
If I install 64bit version of trial easyxls I get the error:

Microsoft VBScript run-time error '800a01ad'
ActiveX component can't create object
page /itakapo/carrello_ext_excel.asp, line 94

the line in my page is:
set xls = Server.CreateObject("EasyXLS.ExcelDocument")

I tried to install the 32bit trial version, but I get another error:
server error 'ASP 0177 : 8007000e'
can't execute method Server.CreateObject
page /itakapo/carrello_ext_excel.asp, line 94

also on my localhost (windows parallel on Mac 32 bit) I get the first error.

I'm doing someting wrong installing the trial version?

I checked the control panel and the component EasyXLS is present in the path specified in the manual, but still doesn't work.

It is most likely a permission problem. To test this situation, please run our VBS Tutorial03 in Command prompt. Unless you selected otherwise while installing EasyXLS, you should find it here:
C:\Program Files\EU Outsourcing\EasyXLS Trial for .NET v8.4\COM+ version\Tutorials
Also, make sure you are running Command prompt as administrator.

I tried the test, this is the error I get. I'm using the developer edition, not the trial.
I tried both from my pc and from my client pc, there are two different errors.
The first error from my pc is "Can't find part of the path ...."
The error from my client's pc is "Microsoft VBScript runtime error: ActiveX can't create the object: EasyXLS.ExcelDocument"

Claudia, let's take your cases one at a time:

1. Windows Server 2003 32 bit - your ASP page works fine.

2. Tutorial03.vbs does not work. You need to create the folder "C:\Samples", as Tutorial03 creates an .xls file located in "C:\Samples".

3. When step 2 will be fixed, our attention will move to the "Windows server 2003 64bit" machine.
